Failte Refugees Galway hosted an extremely successful Refugee Week from February 19th - 22nd.
The week began with a panel discussion led by academics on the legal basis for direct provision and the right to work in Ireland. On Tuesday they held a table quiz in the Róisín Dubh, with a 5 euro entry fee, with proceeds donated to residents of direct provision centres.
On Wednesday the students held a 'A Taste of Home': Clothes Drive and Pot Luck in Teach Solais LGBT+ Resource Centre from 6:30pm- 9pm. Clothes and food were donated! Many thanks to Teach Solais for the use of the space.
Thursday's main event was a Cultural Food Fair, held in association with NUIG Student's Union and various other societies on campus, in Aras na Mac Leinn.
